New banner at St Andrew’s

At our recent Fun Afternoon with St Peter’s and the Kingswood community, we completed a new banner. Many of those who hire St Andrew’s during the week contributed to the banner by making fish for the net. The banner features the Arctic Corsair, a fishing trawler at present being renovated in Hull.

Lead Theft at St Peter’s

Sadly, on the night of Friday 27 September about 5 tons of lead was stolen from the roof of St Peter’s. Messy Church, August 2019

We were looking at Jesus’ story of the house on the rock and the house on the sand. One of the activities/games was a competition of boys/men v girls/women to build a tower out of straws. It had to remain standing! The girls won!!

Thank You Lunch at St Peter’s

In August we held a lunch in church to thank everyone who “does” to help the church: gardeners, makers of Christmas wreaths, the person who puts up the flags, brass cleaners………… Over 40 people attended a pukka sit-down meal.

Memorial Service 2019

On Sunday 1st September 2019 we are holding a Memorial Service when we particularly remember those who have died in the last year. Anyone is welcome at the service.
